For over 60 years, Tatamagouche Centre has been a place of learning, gathering and rest for those doing the inner and collective work of building a more just and loving world

Gratitude to our program funders and all those who gave a generous fee to support others!

We have immune-compromised loved ones including a staff member with a son battling cancer so we ask guests to please continue to mask in large groups to keep everyone safe.

Sacred Land

The Centre is located on the unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Mi’kmaq. The Treaties signed in 1725 were an agreement between Nations that did not cede land or assets but laid the groundwork for peace and friendship. As Treaty people, we are still righting those relations of both past and ongoing violence.

We believe in the magic possible when we come together on sacred land with friends, ceremony and food. For decades, we have gathered in friendship and accompaniment with Indigenous Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Water and Land defenders, and friends here in Turtle Island and in the Guatemala-Maritime Solidarity Network. We are still learning and unlearning what it means to be in right relationship. It has been a long journey of friendship, peace, harm and repair. We whole-heartedly commit to our friends and to living into our values and Treaty responsibilities.
