A Healing Forest Bathing Session

On May 25th, Mary Purdy held a tremendously successful forest bathing session on our grounds. The goal was to learn how to reconnect and communicate with nature and ourselves. The program drew interest from a varied crowd, both near and far. Participants came from many walks of life, age groups, and geographical areas. Some of our attendees even travelled all the way from Saint John and Mahone Bay to take part.

Each person seemed to find something truly valuable in the program. One attendee appreciated the chance to slow down and take some “alone time,” which is often lacking from our busy days. Alicia thought it was great that people of all ages could share their experiences with and learn from each other. Linda was drawn to many comfy places throughout our grounds to settle in and fully immerse herself in nature. Everyone enjoyed the forest bathing experience, but Bernadette may have described it the most beautifully with the following comments:

“I loved the program. It seemed to come alive and direct itself to the needs of the participants. It was healing and magical.”
