COVID-19 Policies

Travel and Visitor Restrictions

There are no province-wide gathering limits, social distancing, or mask restrictions. However, Tatamagouche Centre will be maintaining COVID-19 protocols including 6 feet distance between people gathering and the use of masks in public spaces except while eating or drinking. This includes trips to washrooms/hallways etc. Please maintain social distancing from others while not wearing mask, it’s important to keep a safe distance from people you don’t know while out and about. We recognize that these standards are stricter than the public health guidelines, but this helps prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect yourself and others.

Learning Programs and Hosted Events

Tatamagouche Centre can host events and programs at its full capacity, single or double lodging. Please note that in some of the accommodation participants have shared showers. Participants are asked to use the provided cleaning supplies to ensure that their spaces are clean. We commit to rigorous cleaning before and after programs, but we do not have the staffing to clean lodging on daily basis. All meals are still served individually plated and covered, not the usual buffet style. Guests are asked to approach the counter masked and one at a time. Distancing and masking in dining hall are required, except while eating or drinking. We have a staff member whose son is battling cancer and is too young to be vaccinated. Wee ask for your support in keeping everyone safe. As usual, dietary accommodations will be respected.

Lodging and Meals

All staff and guests are required to wear masks and follow social distancing in all public spaces (6 feet apart). All staff and guests are required to stay home when they feel sick and follow Public Health requirements. Please don’t participate in any activities at the Centre if you feel sick, or have any COVID-19 symptoms and self-isolating. If you started to feel sick or develop any COVID-19 symptoms while attending program/event at the Centre, please immediately inform one of the staff members, wear a mask in public places at the Centre (indoor and outdoor), even if it’s not required. Make informed choices about who to interact with and how to interact with each other (consider age, occupation, and health conditions). Don’t share food or beverages. We commit to doing our very best to operate and move forward safely.
