Winter Gaming Retreat 2019

  Feb 8 - Feb 10, 2019 Fri 5:00 PM - Sun 2:00 PM

A weekend get-away to play pen-and-paper roleplaying games!

Some of the themes we will explore together: how to make the move from player to game leader; how to build inclusion and community; and how to support diversity, disability, and mental health through RPGs.

Leadership of this retreat is a collaboration between Heroes and Adventurers and the Tatamagouche Centre.

Program Cost:

We work hard to make our programs accessible for low income people, while ensuring that the true costs are covered.

When we receive funding towards our programs, we are inviting those able to pay the true cost of the program. Some will be able to donate a little extra to help support others. Some need a reduced price, and some need full financial support. If you need financial support, we really would like to hear from you as early as possible. We are particularily keen to support BI-POC folks, and LGBTQ youth and elders.

Program pricing:
A request for a single room adds $50 to the overall program cost. No accomodation required (if you are staying nearby) reduces the overall program cost by $80.

Generous Registration Cost: $350 ($100 support for another participant, tuition, meals & accommodation in double occupancy)

True Program Cost: $250 (tuition, meals & accommodation in double occupancy)

Subsidized Program Cost: $150 (tuition, meals & accommodation in double occupancy)

We also have bursaries available for folks who cannot afford the subsidized rate - please apply

You can apply for a bursary in any of these ways:

  • by sending us an email at info@tatacentre.ca
  • call us at 902-657-2231 to discuss your participation
  • text us at 902-977-0477. Let us know your name and your interest in being part of the program, and we will get back to you.

We ask that you answer the following 4 questions to apply for a bursary

  1. Please tell us about yourself and your involvement in community, and how you will use what you learn to enrich the life of your community / organization.
  2. Please tell us how this program will help you and groups you are involved in.
  3. Tatamagouche Centre is committed to the values of equity, inclusion, and supporting participation from people of colour, Indigenous people, people with disabilities, LGBTQ folks. Please indicate if you would like to be considered for inclusion under our equity policy.
  4. You are invited to pay what you are able. The cost per person for this gathering is $557 per person.  The more you are able to contribute, the more people we are able to host. How much are you able to contribute?

Deadline to register for this program without financial support: January 15, 2019.
