Board Member - She/They

natalie is a community facilitator, artist, life-long learner, earth-tender, and creative soul. She loves to learn alongside others for the purpose of community creation and transformation.

natalie has spent the last 20 years connecting and collaborating with diverse communities in North America and Egypt, co-creating learning environments that are founded upon shared values of diversity, love, respect, creativity, and self-empowerment - embracing a vision of solidarity, social justice, and change from the inside out. She sees participatory learning, the arts, and embodied wisdom practices as portals of transformative capacity, providing space for our souls to dance, breathe, and unleash the deep wisdom that resides within, in service of personal, collective, and systemic transformation.

natalie’s connection to the Tatamagouche Centre has been one that is dear to their heart. While working at the Coady International Institute from 2008-18, she had the opportunity to connect with the land, people, and programs at the centre in a variety of ways. There has always been a deep resonance in the philosophy and approach of the centre’s work and a gratitude for the opportunities to be courageous, heartful, and creative alongside others in its spaces of learning and growth.

natalie looks forward to supporting the board in preparing our soils for the Rematriation Process and all that invites us to unlearn and relearn in the process. The humbling process of undoing old patterns of colonization and finding new and ancient ways to be in right relationship with ourselves, one another, and the land matters deeply to their body-spirit and their personal journey of equity and justice among communities.
