Licensed Lay Worship Leaders Atlantic: Wilderness & Wonder 2019

  Mar 1 - Mar 3, 2019 Fri 5:30 PM - Sun 2:30 PM

If it were not for Holy Week and Easter the story of Jesus would not be told today. The services of Lent, Holy Week and Easter present a significant challenge to the worship leader, tasked with guiding worshipers along the journey to the cross and beyond. In this Learning Unit participants will explore theological themes such as brokenness & healing, death & resurrection, the passion & paschal mystery.  We will review liturgical resources for Lenten practices, Palm/Passion Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter and Eastertide. This Unit will also focus on crafting public prayer.

  • This is one of four Learning Units offered in the Licensed Lay Worship Leaders Program (Atlantic). Units can be taken in any order.
  • Those who are currently licensed and those seeking to be licensed by their Presbytery as Licensed Lay Worship Leaders are welcome and encouraged to participate.
  • Those who complete the Orientation and 4 Learning Units will receive a Certificate of Completion from Tatamagouche Centre and LLWL Atlantic.

Program Cost: $250 (tuition, meals & shared accommodations)
$300 (tuition, meals & single room lodging)
